CORRECTIONS

 

The Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of Antonio Cortez, 55, of El Paso, of a judgment of partially-probated suspension, not a judgment of disbarment.

 

The Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a final judgment of suspension against Hugh Sabel, 61, of Fredericksburg, not a final judgment of disbarment. 

 

BODA ACTIONS

 

On Oct. 27, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals reversed and dismissed a judgment of partially-probated suspension against Dale Rex Kirby, 67, of Tyler, signed by an evidentiary panel of the District 2-A Grievance Committee on June 25, 2003.

 

On Oct. 27, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals modified the sanction imposed after remand in a judgment of partially- probated suspension against Stephen T. Leas, 50, of McAllen, signed by the evidentiary panel of the District 12-B Grievance Committee on Dec. 4, 2003.

 

On Oct. 4, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a judgment of disbarment against Marc D. Murr, 48, of Austin.   

 

On Oct. 5, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered an interlocutory order of suspension against William Lassiter Holmes III, 42, of McAllen. 

 

On Aug. 5, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed an agreed judgment of indefinite disability suspension against Douglas M. King, 41, of Weatherford.

 

On Sept. 2, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a final judgment of disbarment against Robert E. Barger, 45, of Garden Ridge. 

 

RESIGNATION

 

On Aug. 30, the Supreme Court of Texas accepted the resignation, in lieu of discipline, of Kevin Ray Capps, 33, of Dallas.

 

DISBARMENTS

 

On Aug. 19, Joseph Scott Spitzer, 57, of Fort Worth was disbarred by the District 7-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Sept. 24, B. Joe Thomson, 59, of Houston was disbarred by the 127th District Court of Harris County. 

 

SUSPENSIONS

 

On Sept. 29, Morris Joseph Kirschberg, 58, of San Antonio received a one-month, active suspension effective Dec. 1, 2004 from the District 10-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Sept. 7, Marcia Jean Brinkley, 52, of Coronado, Calif., received a five-year, active suspension effective Oct. 1, 2004 from the District 12-B Grievance Committee.

On Sept. 24, G.A. Adesanya, 44, of Houston received a five-year, active suspension effective Nov. 15, 2004 from the 113th District Court. 

 

On Oct. 13, Terry M. Brown, 51, of Livingston accepted a three-year, partially-probated suspension effective Nov. 1, 2004, with the first six months actively served and the remainder probated from the District 3-B Grievance Committee. 

 

On Oct. 21, Thomas Stuart Nelson, 56, of Dallas received a five-year, partially-probated suspension effective Nov. 1, 2004 with the first year actively served and the remainder probated from the District 6-A Grievance Committee. 

 

PUBLIC REPRIMAND

 

On Oct. 4, John Robert Riggs, 46, of Dallas accepted a public reprimand from the District 6-A Grievance Committee.
