On Jan. 24, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals disbarred Juan R. Ledesma, 52 of Mission.

 

On Jan. 24, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals disbarred John Goode Haring, 57 of San Antonio. Clarification:  John A. Haring, 54, of Lyon, Gorsky, Baskett, Haring & Gilbert, L.L.P, in Dallas is not who this disciplinary sanction refers to.

 

On Jan. 24, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals disbarred Gerald R. Sewell, of Fairfield.

 

On Jan. 16, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered an agreed judgment of public reprimand against Nancy F. Avanzino-Chapman, 44 of Reno, Nev.

 

On Jan. 24, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals affirmed in part and reversed in part the judgment of partially-probated suspension against McAllen attorney Stephen T. Leas, 48, entered by an evidentiary panel of the District 12-B Grievance Committee in Case No. 820880203329.

 

On Jan. 24, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals affirmed the default judgment of partially-probated suspension against El Paso attorney Virginia C. Keith Gorman , 51, dated Feb. 13, 2002, from the evidentiary panel of the District 17-A Grievance Committee in Case No. F3030102709. 

 

DISBARMENTS

On Nov. 19, Robert Hunter Loewen, 40, of Austin was disbarred by an evidentiary panel of the District 9-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Oct. 30, Woodrow Wilson Miller, 50, of Houston was disbarred by the 125th District Court of Harris County.

 

On Nov. 6, an evidentiary panel of the District 12-B Grievance Committee disbarred Sergio Sierra, 46, of Olmito.

 

On Nov. 12, an evidentiary panel of the District 4-J Grievance Committee disbarred Ernesto Valdes, 64, of Houston.

 

SUSPENSIONS

On Nov. 12, Robert Areche, Jr., 48, of San Antonio received a three-year suspension effective Oct. 25, 2002 from the 45th District Court of Bexar County.

 

On Nov. 20, Katrina Dannhaus Packard, 50, of Schulenburg accepted a six-month, fully-probated suspension effective Nov. 18, 2002 from the District 4-B Grievance Committee.

 

On Sept. 13, Maria Estella Perez, 55, of Harlingen received a four-year, partially-probated suspension effective Jan. 1, 2003 with the first 18 months actively served and the remainder probated from the 404th District Court of Cameron County.

 

On Nov. 19, Lisa Aston Ryan, 41, of Fort Worth accepted a four-year, partially probated suspension effective Dec.1, 2002, with the first year actively served and the remainder probated from the District 14-B Grievance Committee.

 

On Nov. 26 Jeffrey J. Sapyta, 44 of San Antonio received an 18-month, partially-probated suspension effective Jan. 1, 2003, with the first three months actively served and the remainder probated from the District 10-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Sept. 18, Michael W. Williams, 65 of Corpus Christi received a four-month, fully-probated suspension effective Nov. 1, 2002 from the 310th District Court of Nueces County.

 

On Nov. 19, Lee Brooks Wilson, 46, of Austin was suspended for one year effective Nov. 19, 2002 by an evidentiary panel of the District 9-A Grievance Committee.

 

PUBLIC REPRIMANDS

On Sept. 13, Marty Dale Scott, 34, of Terrell accepted a public reprimand from the District 1-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Oct. 15, Todd Alan Dolginoff, 37, of Plano accepted a public reprimand from the District 1-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Nov. 21, David C. Fleming-Hughes, 50, of Austin accepted a public reprimand from the District 9-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Oct. 15, Robert S. Lenz, 50, of Fort Worth received a public reprimand from the District 7-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Oct. 15, Jo Ann G. Lopez, 60, of Richardson accepted a public reprimand from the District 6-A Grievance Committee.

 

On Nov. 19, John E. Wright, 54, of Huntsville agreed to a public reprimand from the 12th District Court of Walker County.
