ACTIONS
On Jan. 15, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals suspended William
Owen Juvrud, 43, of El Paso. Juvrud pleaded guilty in the 243rd District
Court of El Paso County.
On May 7, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals disbarred Paul
Matthew Rayner, 35, of Houston. Rayner pleaded guilty in the 248th District
Court of Harris County.
On May 21, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals disbarred Victor
Jacob Bieganowski, 53, of Houston. On May 22, 21, the board suspended
Bieganowski pending his appeal of his guilty plea in the U.S. District Court,
Western District of Texas.
On May 7, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals affirmed the
judgment of disbarment against Judith Calk Mercer, 54, of Dallas,
entered by the District 6-A Grievance Committee on Sept. 27, 21.
On May 21, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for
want of prosecution the appeal by David Davila, 42, of San Antonio, of
an order of disbarment issued by an evidentiary panel of the District 10-B
Grievance Committee on Nov. 13, 21.
On May 21, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for
want of prosecution the appeal by Nelson F. Cutter, 49, of Thousand
Oaks, Calif., of an order of suspension entered by an evidentiary panel of the
District 17-A Grievance Committee on Sept. 20, 21.
RESIGNATIONS
On Dec. 12, the Supreme Court of Texas accepted the
resignation, in lieu of discipline, of Cory C. Groves, 41, of Dallas.
DISBARMENTS
On May 20, Roy R. Jimenez, 50, of San Antonio was
disbarred by an evidentiary panel of the District 10-B Grievance Committee.
On April 19, John R. Riherd, 47, of The Woodlands was
disbarred by an evidentiary panel of the District 3-B Grievance Committee.
On Feb. 13, Silvestre Pena Silvas, 41, of Houston was
disbarred by an evidentiary panel of the District 4-F Grievance Committee.
On Feb. 26, Bobby Stokes, 53, of Houston received a
default judgment of disbarment from the 281st District Court of Harris County.
On April 24, Leandro David Martinez, 42, of Pharr
received a 42-month, partially-probated suspension effective May 15, with the
first six months actively served and the remainder probated from the District
12-B Grievance Committee.

McGuinnis Otubusin, 49, of Houston agreed to a one-year, fully-probated
suspension effective March 1 from the 80th District Court of Harris County.
On Feb. 20, Stephen Allie Peyton, 37, of Austin
accepted a one-year, fully-probated suspension effective April 1 from the
District 15-C Grievance Committee.
On March 29, Charles H. Roach, 54, of Fort Worth
accepted a nine-month, fully-probated suspension effective April 15 from the
District 7-A Grievance Committee.
On March 14, Miguel Rodriguez, 54, of San Antonio
received a three-year, partially-probated suspension effective March 7, with
the first two years actively served and the remainder probated from the
District 10-B Grievance Committee.
On Feb. 6, Phillip N. Sanov, 37, of Houston received
a five-year, fully-probated suspension effective April 5 from the District 14-C
Grievance Committee.
On March 14, H. Paul Smith, 56, of San Antonio
received a five-year suspension effective March 14 from the District 10-B
Grievance Committee.
On Jan. 16, Joshua A. Smith, 40, of Arlington agreed
to a 36-month, fully-probated suspension effective Feb. 1 from the District 7-A
Grievance Committee.
On Jan. 15, Jerome D. Wurst, 40, of Arlington
received a one-year, fully-probated suspension effective March 5 from the
District 7-A Grievance Committee.
On Feb. 13, Godson E. Anyanwu, 43, of Dallas received
a 24-month, fully-probated suspension effective Feb. 1 from the 192nd District
Court of Dallas.
On April 26, Jerry Keith Atkins, 64, of Houston
received a two-year, fully-probated suspension effective April 27 from the
113th District Court of Harris County.
On April 15, Jerry Lee Bryan, II, 59, of Houston
received a three-year, fully-probated suspension effective April 15 from the
152nd District Court of Harris County.
On March 20, Damon R. Capps, 59, of Houston accepted
a one-year, fully-probated suspension effective May 1 from the District 4-H
Grievance Committee.
On Dec. 4, St. James Chambers, 49, of Dallas received
a six-month, fully-probated suspension effective Dec. 1 from the 193rd District
Court of Dallas County.
On Feb. 7, Virginia Keith Gorman, 50, of El Paso
received a two-year, partially-probated suspension effective Feb. 15, with the
first year actively served and the remainder probated from the District 17-A
Grievance Committee.
On April 8, Paul A. Hampel, 34, of San Antonio agreed
to a two-year, fully-probated suspension effective June 1 from the 225th
District Court of Bexar County.
On April 11, Louis D. Leichter, 39, of Austin
accepted a 36-month, partially-probated suspension effective May 1, with the
first five months actively served and the remainder probated from the District
9-A Grievance Committee.

a public reprimand from the District 6-A Grievance Committee.
