book discusses the European merger control system and addresses how merger
control promotes consumer and societal welfare and if the European Commission
is able to correctly predict the outcome of any given concentration
transaction. It also analyzes the credibility and transparency of the
system and offers recommendations that can be integrated into the functioning
framework of the European project. |

Miranda decision was made as well as the purposes and nature of the decision.
The author also identifies and describes problems with the implementation of
the decision, such as the vague nature of the phrase “in custody” and the
lack of standardization of Miranda warnings, and proposes recommendations for
reinstituting the original goals of the decision. |
