It covers topics such as agency, closely held corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, limited liability companies, and business trusts, etc. It also includes problems for comprehensive review and provides detailed information regarding the Delaware statutes and the uniform and model statutes such as the Model Business Corporation Act and Restatement (Third) of Agency. A statutory supplement is included.

Back from the Dead: one Woman’s Search for the men who walked off America’s death row

Joan Cheever was co-counsel for Walter Williams, a Texas death row inmate and successfully stayed his execution until October 1994. At her client’s request she stood next to him at his execution and the experience would change her life dramatically. Cheever wondered whether Williams would have killed again if he had his death sentence reversed and was paroled. She embarks on a dangerous journey to meet the former death row inmates who in 1972 had their death sentences commuted to life as a result of the United States Supreme Court’s declaration that the death penalty was unconstitutional. Cheever would discover that many former inmates were leading productive lives while a small portion actually did kill again.
