Tony Chase was selected as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a New York based group of approximately 1000 academic, government, and business leaders nationwide who meet regularly to discuss foreign policy. The CFR also publishes Foreign Affairs on a quarterly basis.

Seth Chandler married Anne B. Haenel (UHLC '98) in Santa Rosa, CA.

Tom Newhouse was profiled in the May/June 1998 issue of The Houston Lawyer in recognition as "Volunteer/Mediator Extraordinaire" for the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center.

Tom Oldham's Family Law text will be published in August by West Group.

Jordan J. Paust's essay "The Human Rights to Food, Medicine and Medical Supplies, and Freedom from Arbitrary and Inhuman Detention and Controls in Sri Lanka" was published in 31 Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law 617 (1998).

Laura Rothstein will be speaking on July 29th to the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in Houston on "Current Issues in Health Law and Policy."

Mark Rothstein will be speaking to the same organization on July 21st.
