Amy is an adjunct professor of law, teaching appellate advocacy at the University of Texas Law School for more than a decade. Amy has prepared and presented appellate topics at continuing legal education seminars and was named Texas Lawyer’s Appellate Lawyer of the Week in July 2011. She spent five of her over twenty years of legal experience as a staff attorney for Justice Dale Wainwright at the Supreme Court of Texas.
Amy received her undergraduate degree in English from Rice University in Houston, Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center in 2000, where she served on the Houston Law Review and was named to Order of the Coif.
Amy plays pickle ball, rescues feisty cairn terriers, and likes to cook. She lives with her attorney-songwriter husband Tim Wilkins in Bastrop, Texas, and has two college-aged stepsons.
