Professor Pinsky is the chairperson of the University of Houston¿s Physics Department, and an active researcher in a number of areas of physics including Experimental Elementary Particle Physics, Relativistic Heavy Ion Physics, Space Radiation Physics, High Performance Computing and Grid Computing. He has published over 125 articles in physics. Prof. Pinsky holds an MA and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Rochester and a BS in Physics from Carnegie-Mellon University. He also holds a J.D. along with an LL.M in Intellectual Property and Information Law from the University of Houston Law Center. Besides teaching course at the Law Center, Prof. Pinsky also had given talks on IP law to university researchers and at international meetings across this country and around the world. Besides IP and Information Law, Prof. Pinsky also has an interest in the use of Scientific Evidence in the law.
