2014 Symposium Conference on "The Role of Planning in Public Lands Management"
The Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Center of the University of Houston Law Center and the George Washington School of Law are co-sponsoring a two-day symposium on "The Role of Planning in Public Lands Management." The event will take place on March 13 and 14 at the GW Law School. The symposium will provide a unique opportunity to examine in depth issues related to the changing demands on public lands resulting from energy production, climate change and species protection, among other issues.
Past issues of the EELPJ may be accessed here, including the symposia issues. The EELPJ is no longer producing annual issues, but values the contributions made by the past boards of editors of the Journal. The alumni of these boards may be found here.
In place of the Journal, the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Center (EENR Center) now sponsors an annual Speaker Series. Please visit here for past speaker presentations and for upcoming speaker events. The home page of the Center also features News and Events and information about research and visiting scholars at the EENR Center.
The EENR Center also co-sponsors programs and symposia. In January 2014, the EENR Center co-sponsored a symposium on "Fracking: the Cost of Energy Independence." This symposium took place as part of the Andrews Kurth Moot Court competition and was co-sponsored with the Blakely Advocacy Institute. The Powerpoint presentations of the speakers may be found here.
