A globally recognized faculty and a rigorous, enriching curriculum shape tomorrow’s top lawyers.  The Law Center offers one of the largest course selections in the country with a curricular breadth that prepares students for almost any legal discipline and allows concentrations in specific areas.  Law Center students also benefit from an outstanding slate of clinical programs that provide direct experience.

The Law Center is situated within UH, the city’s leading public research institution.  Each year, more than 40,000 students are educated in more than 300 undergraduate and graduate academic programs. UH serves as the flagship for the University of Houston System, a group of four universities, two branch campuses, and two multi-institution teaching centers, each governed by the UHS Board of Regents. BusinessWeek has named Houston as its “Top City for New College Grads.” More information can be found at www.law.uh.edu and www.uh.edu.

Houston, the fourth largest city in the nation, is home to a diverse base of businesses which drives one of the largest legal markets in the nation.  Energy corporations, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers make Houston the Energy Capital of the World.  The Texas Medical Center is the world’s largest health care and medical research complex.  Space City is home to NASA’s Mission Control and a leading center for groundbreaking work in nanotechnology, biotechnology, computing, and electronics.  More than 750 foreign firms are represented in Houston, and the city has the nation’s third largest number of foreign trade offices.
