The Alternative Career/In-House Legal Table Talk is a new table talk that will give UHLC students and recent graduates the opportunity to meet with attorneys from in-house legal departments as well as employers seeking students or recent graduates for "J.D. Advantaged" positions. A J.D. Advantaged position is a non‐legal position that utilizes or benefits from a student's or graduate's legal education.
This event provides employers the opportunity to meet informally with students and recent graduates, collect resumes for upcoming positions, and introduce their organization to a large number of potential candidates. Students and recent graduates will be able to discuss internship opportunities for the upcoming summer or academic year as well as permanent positions. Additionally, the event is an opportunity to expose UHLC students to the varied opportunities available with companies in both legal and J.D. Advantaged positions.
A list of participating Alternative Career/In-House Legal Table Talk employers will be linked to this website shortly and updated as additional companies are added up until Thursday, February 16, 2018. For more information about the Table Talk, UHLC students should contact their UHLC career counselor.
Who Can Participate in Alternative Career/In-House Legal Table Talk?
The Table Talk is open to all current UHLC 2L and 3L students as well as recent graduates. Employers participating in the Table Talk will be looking to share knowledge with students about their legal practice or other business responsibilities and, if opportunities are available, hire current students for internship positions and 3Ls and recent graduates for permanent attorney or other employment positions.
