Course Outline: Whether goods and services have been sold or leased materially affects the legal rights and duties of both suppliers and users and has been the subject of substantial litigation. This three-hour course reviews the allocation of risks by the sales system and compares the allocation of risks by the lease system. Emphasis is on Uniform Commercial Code Articles 2 and 2A.
Also covered is the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (the CISG), which has been adopted by over 70 countries, including the United States.
