Course Outline: The course is basically divided into two parts, jurisdiction and procedure and substantive principles of Admiralty. Jurisdiction includes the establishment and formulation of Admiralty jurisdiction in the courts as well as various forms of relief available in Admiralty and the problems associated with federal–state accommodations in maritime cases. The substantive part of the course includes charter parties, maritime liens, rights of seamen and waterfront workers and the use of ship mortgages.
