Course Outline: This course provides an overview of employment in non-unionized, private sector workplaces by examining common law doctrines and statutes that regulate the employment relationship. Specific topics include employment at will, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, discrimination, privacy, wages and hours, workplace injury, post-employment issues, and arbitration.

Pages 1-32, 53-57, 64-72 in the assigned casebook, Rothstein & Liebman, Cases and Materials in Employment Law (7th ed. 2011).
