The UHLC Graduate Fellowship Program is designed to make it possible for our recent graduates to pursue unpaid internships and gain additional legal experience as they await their bar results. The Law Center will provide up to $4,000 to a limited number of recent graduates selected for a Graduate Fellowship with a government agency or a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Work schedules are flexible, but fellows are expected to work 20 hours per week for 10 weeks generally beginning the last week in August and conclude the first week in November.
For more information, application instructions, and deadlines please read through the Graduate Fellowship FAQ.
The Graduate Fellowship Program is a great way to obtain much-needed legal assistance from recent UHLC graduates. This has been extremely beneficial and well-received by those organizations or agencies that may not have the resources to pay interns or the ability to hire unlicensed attorneys. Started in 2006, this program allows recent graduates a chance to help public interest organizations while adding a new layer of legal experience to their portfolio of skills. Start dates are flexible, however, Graduate Fellows are expected to work part-time for 10 weeks generally between the end of August and the beginning of November.
