The Corporate & Taxation Law Society (CTLS) is the University of Houston Law Center's flagship student organization for promoting the areas or corporate and tax law. The organization was founded to offer law students a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the exciting and diverse world of corporate and tax law, and to provide networking opportunities with working professionals.

CTLS has the ambitious plans to provide even more extensive opportunities for students to pursue their interests in corporate or tax law by sponsoring workshops, clinics, and luncheons, which will all cover a variety of topics such as:
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • General Corporate and Partnership
  • Antitrust
  • Tax
  • Securities And Exchange Transactions
  • Bankruptcy Issues

In addition to providing networking activities for student members, CTLS has additional goals:
  • Distribution and promotion of the CTLS Resume book
  • Recruitment of 1L student representatives
  • Career Fair
  • Establishment of a volunteer income tax assistance program
