The Advocates is one of only a handful of student-run law school advocacy organizations in the nation. The organization is devoted to developing oral advocacy and improving trial and appellate presentation skills through various competitions. The Advocates provides students with the opportunity to experience litigation and to develop invaluable tools used by practicing attorneys.
First
Year Law Students
First year law students play an important role in the Advocates program
by posing as witnesses for the Hippard Mock Trial competitions.
Moreover, first year students can compete in the mediation, negotiation, and John Black Moot Court competitions.
