Competitions

The Advocates host these competitions each year:

• James H. Hippard Mock Trial Competitions (Fall and Spring)

• Lorance & Thompson Negotiation/Drafting Competition (Fall - all students)

• Tom Newhouse Mediation Competition (Fall - all students)

• Blakely-Butler Moot Court Competition (Spring - 2 & 3L's)

• John Black Moot Court Competition (Spring - 1L's)

Competitions are open to all law students (except as noted above); however, priority in registration is given to Advocates members. This factor becomes important because competitions have limited spaces available and fill up quickly.
