Aug. 20, 2014 – The former dean of the University of Houston Law Center and two other members of the faculty have been chosen by their peers as among the nation’s best lawyers in their specialty areas.
Raymond T. Nimmer, who resigned last year after nearly eight years as dean of the law school, Tracy Hester, who teaches environmental law and emerging technology courses, and Juan F. Vasquez, Jr. , ’01, an adjunct professor and partner in the firm of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry, are included in the 2015 edition of Best Lawyers in America®.
Nimmer, who is returning to the classroom this semester, was selected for his work in the areas of Copyright Law, Information Technology Law, Litigation - Intellectual Property, Litigation - Patent, Patent Law and Trademark Law.
Hester, a partner at Bracewell & Giuliani LLP and head of its Houston environmental group prior to joining the Law Center faculty, was selected for his expertise in Environmental Law.
Vasquez was cited for his expertise in Tax Litigation and Controversy which he teaches as an adjunct professor at the Law Center.
