UH regents welcome law student to board

July 20, 2011 -- Law Center 3L Tamecia Glover Harris, second from left, is welcomed to the University of Houston System Board of Regents  as the latest in a series of student regents from the law school. Gov. Rick Perry has appointed four of six student regents from the Law Center since the position was created in 2006. Harris will serve during the 2011-12 school year and graduate in May 2012 with J.D. and M.B.A. degrees.  Law Center grads currently hold five of the nine seats on the board. Welcoming Harris are Chairwoman Carroll Robertson Ray ’02, left, Perry, and outgoing student regent Andrew Cobos who graduated from the Law Center in May.
