UH Law Center Professor Nimmer joins editorial board of international research journal

Raymond T. Nimmer

Jan. 5, 2017 - University of Houston Law Center Professor and former Dean Raymond T. Nimmer will be providing his expertise in intellectual property law and information technology law as a new member of the "Intellectual Property and Piracy Journal" editorial board.

The research journal is based in the Ukraine, and was established in 2016 by the publishing company Business Perspectives.

The publication was created with the intent of giving a platform to scientists and practitioners who focus on the problems of attaining, executing and protecting the rights of intellectual property, including the topic of piracy.

Nimmer, Leonard Childs Professor of Law and co-director of the Houston Intellectual Property and Information Law Institute at the Law Center, is the author of more than 25 books and numerous articles.

He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in six practice areas including: Copyright Law, Information Technology Law, Litigation - Intellectual Property. He is also one of 700 lawyers listed in the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers in the category of Information Technology Law. He was recognized in 2011 by his peers as the Best Lawyer in Houston in Information Technology Law. In 2013, his peers voted him the Best Lawyer in Houston in Copyright Law. In 2016, his peers voted him the Best Lawyer in Houston in Copyright Law.
