Jan. 30, 2014 – The University of Houston Law Center's LL.M. brochures earned gold honors in the 2013 Collegiate Advertising Awards. The Law Center competed among graduate schools across the country.

"We have exceptional LL.M. specialty programs at the University of Houston Law Center and our team works really hard to showcase them in the best light possible, said Carrie Anna Criado, executive director of communications and marketing for the law school.

The LL.M. brochures were recognized in the brochure series category. Coobo Media assisted with the design of the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources piece. April Moreno designed the Health Law brochure, and Jessica Franklin created the design for Tax Law.

Entries were judged by a panel of design and education marketing professionals on the following criteria: creativity, layout/design, typography, production, quality and overall effectiveness.

The UHLC communications and marketing department is led by Criado with John T. Kling, communications manager, and Stephen B. Jablonski, multimedia specialist.
