March 19, 2013 -- An all-star lineup of construction mediators will discuss what has worked and what hasn't in their handling of a combined 3,500 successful mediations in a panel discussion April 12 at the University of Houston Law Center.

The panelists are Bill Andrews, Rick Flake, Jerry Hoover and Curt Martin from Houston, and Steve Nelson from Austin. In addition to discussing the strategies and techniques that have worked over the years, the presentations, moderated panel discussion, and audience dialogue will consider the unique problems facing mediators in construction disputes, including the management of multi-party disputes between owners, contractors, subcontractors and construction professionals. The program will benefit practicing mediators, attorneys who represent clients in construction matters, and construction industry consultants and professionals.

The presentation will be Friday, April 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. in room 240 BLB of the Law Center with a reception to follow. The cost is $70 with checks payable to UH Law Foundation.

Attorneys in attendance may receive 4 hours of CLE credit, including 1 hour of ethics.
