UHLC's global reach showcased in latest Briefcase

The newest edition of the Law Center's annual alumni magazine is hot off the press

Jan. 9, 2013 - Briefcase magazine is out now. The cover story spotlights several of the University of Houston Law Center's new international and academic initiatives that have enabled it to grow in stature around the world including the launch of the Center for U.S. and Mexican Law and the dual degree program with the University of Calgary School of Law. There are also stories on UHLC alums who have directed their skills toward cyber security and space law. Other articles touch on the achievements of several UHLC professors including Michael A. Olivas who is releasing two new books and Jacqueline D. Lipton who conducted research on the legal ramifications of the rapid expansion of Internet domains. In addition, learn about the Law Center's first student enrolled in the new International Energy Lawyers Program. Also, read about the State Bar of Texas creation of the "Richard Alderman Award," named in honor of Law Center Associate Dean Richard Alderman, and the Houston Law Review celebrating 50 years of publication.
