Today offers Law Center students and visitors three good options for picking up some insights into the practice of law.  Here’s the line-up for the events, which all begin at noon:

  • Prof. Darren Bush will be speaking on the ‘Economics of Same-Sex Marriage’ in room 209 BLB. The lecture is sponsored by Outlaw and Corporate & Taxation Law Society. Lunch will be provided.
  • The Federalist Society and IPSO are sponsoring a discussion on ‘Trademarks and Expressive Media’ (TV, film, Internet). Speakers are Prof. Bill Ford of John Marshall Law and Paul Van Slyke of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell. The debate will be held in the Hendricks Heritage Room and food will be provided.
  • The Asian Law Student Association is hosting four attorneys from the Asian American Bar Association in a panel discussion in 240 BLB. The attorneys will discuss various types of work environments – from big firms to solo practice – and will share first-person perspectives about being Asian-American lawyers.
