Speakers offer expertise at three lunchtime events today
Today offers Law Center students and visitors three good options for picking up some insights into the practice of law. Here’s the line-up for the events, which all begin at noon:
Prof. Darren Bush will be speaking on the ‘Economics of Same-Sex Marriage’ in room 209 BLB. The lecture is sponsored by Outlaw and Corporate & Taxation Law Society. Lunch will be provided.
The Federalist Society and IPSO are sponsoring a discussion on ‘Trademarks and Expressive Media’ (TV, film, Internet). Speakers are Prof. Bill Ford of John Marshall Law and Paul Van Slyke of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell. The debate will be held in the Hendricks Heritage Room and food will be provided.
The Asian Law Student Association is hosting four attorneys from the Asian American Bar Association in a panel discussion in 240 BLB. The attorneys will discuss various types of work environments – from big firms to solo practice – and will share first-person perspectives about being Asian-American lawyers.
