Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Dean of the University of Houston Law Center. As the senior academic administrator of the center, the Dean reports directly to the University’s Chief Academic Officer and serves as a member of the Council of Deans.
The Law Center has 50 full-time faculty and enrolls a total of 1000 students in the J.D. program and 100 in the LL.M. program. It is a part of the University of Houston, a comprehensive research and doctoral granting institution, situated on a beautiful 550-acre campus. The university’s diverse student population numbers 34,500 with over 900 ranked faculty. The university offers a wide range of programs including a number of nationally ranked graduate and professional programs. Houston is the fourth largest city in the United States with a broad array of cultural and community activities, including a professional symphony, opera, ballet and theater. Houston is a culturally diverse, international, and dynamic city in a state with a strong and growing economy.
