AVDA - Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Assist victims of domestic violence through this FREE 7.5 (.5 ethics included) HR CLE training. Participants will be trained to serve as ad litem attorneys in cases where service by publication is required. Upon completion of this training your name is added to an approved list held by the family district courts and you may be appointed as an ad litem to locate and notify the absent respondent of the pending divorce or suit affectingthe parent child relationship (SAPCR). Your service will allow legal aid organizations to proceed with divorces or child custody cases for indigent victims of abuse.
Further, this training will include legal training that will introduce you to some and expand your knowledge as it relates to working with: Victims/Survivors of Domestic Abuse, Immigration, and Veterans!!!
