Oct. 8, 2013 – Three University of Houston Law Center students have been awarded scholarships to attend the Annual Texas Health Law Conference on Oct. 13-15 in Austin. The conference is sponsored by the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Hospital Association.
Third-year J.D. candidate Deena K. Herndon-Remy and LL.M. candidates Ryan R. Ingraham and Artemesia Jones were selected by members of the state bar’s Health Law Council in a process that considers candidates from all law schools in Texas.
The conference is heavily attended by lawyers who practice in the health law sector or advise health care clients. National and regional health law experts will speak and lead sessions on a broad range of health law subjects. Topics include recent legislative changes in health law to fraud and abuse enforcement and developments in Medicaid.
