Dec. 6, 2012 – Law students took a break from studying for finals during a free yoga lesson at the University of Houston Law Center. The Student Bar Association hosted the event yesterday.
“The class was definitely relaxing,” said UH Law Center student Megan Daic, 1L. “The instructor’s direction, the music, and the exercises were both stimulating and soothing.”
The instructor focused on breathing exercises and relaxation methods that can be helpful in times of high stress like finals week. Yoga balancing poses can also strengthen mental focus, which can be useful when taking lengthy exams.
