Experts square off over US drone program

Oct. 24, 2011 – University of Houston Law Center Professor Jordan Paust will debate the internal oversight of the US drone program with Professor John Radson of the William Mitchell College of Law in “Who Guards the Guardians,” a program hosted by The Federalist Society on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

A former CIA attorney, Radson has advised officials from other countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Ukraine. He is also the founder of the National Security Forum, a national resource for discussion and research which hosts panels, seminars, and other events, featuring national security experts, scholars, and policy-makers.

An authority on international law, human rights, laws of war, and the use of force and terrorism, Paust has published more than 140 articles, book chapters, papers and essays in law journals across the world. He also has served on several committees on international law, human rights, laws of war, terrorism, and the use of force in the American Society of International Law.
