Oct. 14, 2011 – University of Houston Law Center Professor Michael A. Olivas is featured in this week’s Views section of InsideHigherEd.com, a daily online source for news and opinions on higher education issues. In his article entitled “Sweet Home Alabama,” Olivas critically analyzes the section of the Alabama immigration law that, absent an injunction, would have barred undocumented college students from Alabama's public universities.
The author of "No Undocumented Child Left Behind," Olivas is the William B. Bates Distinguished Chair of Law and the director of the Institute of Higher Education Law & Governance at the Law Center. He is also President of the Association of American Law Schools.
