Panel examines executive pay in hard times
Rebounding or not, most Americans are struggling with the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression – but why are the ones at the top of the ladder continuing to do well? The Houston Business and Tax Law Journal has assembled a panel of experts to examine the issue in its 3rd Annual Symposium, “Current Controversies in Executive Compensation.” Offering their views will be Professor Kathryn J. Kennedy, John Marshall Law School, Associate Dean for Advanced Studies & Research; James R. Raborn, partner, Baker Botts, L.L.P., Houston, and Shane M. Tucker, partner, Vinson & Elkins LLP, Dallas. The discussion will be moderated by Law Center Prof. Douglas Moll. The symposium is 3:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday in Krost Hall, followed by a reception in the Heritage Room. Attendance earns two hours of CLE credit.
