Federalist Society speaker argues ‘More guns = Less crime’

Dr. John R. Lott, economist and research professor at the University of Maryland, has been lauded and chided for his view that more guns can help reduce crime.  Lott visits the Law Center on Wednesday, Nov. 11, for a provocative presentation and discussion hosted by the Federalist Society.  Lott, who holds a Ph.D. in economics from UCLA, is the author of More Guns, Less Crime and The Bias Against Guns. He previously has held research positions at the University of Chicago, Yale University, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and the American Enterprise Institute. The presentation starts at noon in room 109 BLB, and lunch will be available after the discussion.
