Ecuadorian judges get intro to American law
A delegation of 19 Ecuadorian judges made the Law Center its first stop as the jurists began an eight-day, information-sharing tour of the U.S. legal system. The group was welcomed by Associate Dean Richard Alderman followed by an introduction to American law by Prof. Antonio Gidi. The group then observed a mock trial with third-year students Paulo Falconi, Amanda Frase and Gretchen Kersten and second-year Luis Batarse. The judges’ itinerary includes stops at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, county, state and federal courts, and side trips to NASA and an outlet mall.
