Electronic Bluebook : What you need to know.
Electronic Bluebook
is now available for download. The
download,installation, and qualification exam must
be completed by May 1st. It is highly
recommended that your read all material on this web site if you
are going to use Electronic Bluebook.
If you have not previously used Electronic Bluebook, you must attend a one hour mandatory training session prior to using the software for your exams. If you have previously attended training, you are not required to attend training but it is strongly recommended that you do so if you in any way feel uncomfortable regarding the software.
After installing the software, you must take a qualification and a
practice exam prior to using the software for your exams. It is your
responsibility to ensure that your computer and the software is
capable of running the software for your exams.
In the event you have technical issues during your exam please follow
these instructions:
1. Do not panic.
2. If you have a technical issue, such as your computer is
responding poorly, or frozen, please reboot your computer by holding
the power button in and shutting your computer off.
3. If you feel confident about your computer after the reboot you may continue to use Electronic Bluebook for the remainder of your exam. Open Electronic Bluebook, start a new exam and pick up where you left off on your exam.
If you have any concerns please do not continue to use the software, please exit Electronic Bluebook and save your exam to the floppy disk. Then continue your exam where you left off hand writing in a bluebook and turn in both your floppy disk and your bluebook. Only reboot your computer once
4. After your exam is over, please turn-in in your exam as normal,
both your floppy disk and bluebook. Then immediately after your
exam proceed to student services and inform them that you had
an issue with your exam. Please provide them with your test ID
number, and contact information including phone number where you can be reached.
A member of Student Services and or Legal Information Technology will then contact you if your laptop is needed.
Under no circumstances, are you to leave your exam room for any
reason related to Electronic Bluebook , you are not allotted
any additional time for your exam for technical issues. Please turn
in your exam and speak with student services after your
exam is over. Do not discuss it with the faculty member, please go
directly to student services after your exam is over.
Please do not attempt to fix Electronic Bluebook during your exam if you
encounter a problem. Do not reboot your computer more than once, and
do not seek out any staff during your exam, please just continue your
exam handwritten in a bluebook.
If you feel for any reason uncomfortable or unfamiliar with the software, your laptop, or these policies, please take the traditional hand-written exam. All students may take e-exams if they choose to do so and abide by these guidelines.
