Frankel
Rare Books Collection
The
Frankel Rare Books Room is a closed stack facility
that houses the special collections of the O'Quinn
Law Library. The collections consist of rare and out
of print books and documents in American, Texas, and
Foreign Law subject areas and the publications of
the Law Center Faculty. Although access to special
collections is restricted, persons wishing to use
a specific item may request in-house use of the material
from a reference librarian. Rare book materials are
non-circulating and must be used in the main facility
of the O'Quinn Law Library under the supervision of
a reference librarian.
The
collection is accessible Monday through Friday from
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays, or by
appointment. Appointments to use these materials can
be arranged online by using the Rare
Books Collection - Use Request Form or by contacting
the Head of Document Services Librarian, Helen Boyce,
at (713) 743-2286.
Materials
that are housed in the Frankel Rare Books room receive a
catalog location of Law/Rare Books.
