RESIGNATIONS

On May 5, the Supreme Court of Texas accepted the resignation, in lieu of discipline, of Gregory B. Dunbar, 49, of Dallas.

On Jan. 25, the Supreme Court of Texas accepted the resignation, in lieu of discipline, of Grady James Smart, 36, of Arlington.

SUSPENSIONS

Arthur L. Jackson, 57, of Houston received a 48-month, partially-probated suspension effective May 14, 1999, with the first year actively served and the remainder probated.

E. J. Van Buren, Jr. , 40, of Houston accepted a six-month, fully-probated suspension effective March 15, 1999.

Benjamin J. Durant , 48, of Houston received a three-year, partially-probated suspension, with the first year actively served and the remainder probated.

Laura Alpert, 37, of Plano accepted a six-month, fully-probated suspension effective April 1, 1999.

Marc Manuel Ariza, 36, of Houston accepted a six-year, partially-probated suspension effective June 1, 1999, with the first three years actively served and the remainder probated.

John O. Barnett, 52, of Garland accepted a 27-month, partially-probated suspension effective June 1, 1999, with the first three months actively served and the remainder probated

W. Patrick Burke, 40, of San Antonio accepted a 24-month, partially-probated suspension effective June 4, 1999, with the first three months probated, the following month actively served, and the remainder probated.

Edward N. Daneri, 54, of San Antonio accepted a 13-month, partially-probated suspension effective June 15, with the first 30 days actively served and the remainder probated.

James Gordon Kinser, 56, of Houston accepted a 60-day suspension effective May 1, 1999.

On April 28, Elijah Carl Lewis, 50, of Houston accepted a public reprimand.

On March 10, Joe Edward Shumate, 47, of Henderson received a public reprimand.
