BODA ACTIONS

 

On July 29, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals reversed the judgment of disbarment signed on June 25, 2001 by an evidentiary panel of the District 6-A Grievance Committee against Brenda J. Stidham, 52, of DeSoto. 

 

On April 28, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of Robert D. Lobello, 46, of San Antonio, of a judgment of partially-probated suspension issued by an evidentiary panel of the District 10-C Grievance Committee. 

 

On July 12, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of James R. Callahan, 53, of Addison, of a judgment of disbarment issued by an evidentiary panel of the District 6-A Grievance Committee.

 

On July 12, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of Zerrie L. Hines, 45, of Houston, of a judgment of disbarment issued by an evidentiary panel of the District 4-H Grievance Committee.

 

On July 14, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of Antonio Cortez, 55, of El Paso, of a judgment of disbarment issued by an evidentiary panel of the District 17-A Grievance Committee.

 

One June 7, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a final judgment of disbarment against Hugh E. Sabel, 61, of Fredericksburg.

 

On July 21, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals signed a judgment of indefinite disability suspension against Mike G. Hernandez, 58, of Houston.

 

On July 28, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered a judgment of disbarment against Forrest R. Carlton II, 64, of Santa Fe, N.M.

 

On Jan. 16, 2004, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed for want of prosecution the appeal of Stephen Edward Rogers, 52, of Dallas, of a judgment of disbarment issued by an evidentiary panel of the District 1-A Grievance Committee. 

 

RESIGNATIONS

 

On Aug. 17, the Supreme Court of Texas accepted the resignation, in lieu of discipline, of Yolanda I. Gonzalez, 49, of San Antonio. 

 

DISBARMENT

 

On July 19, H. Paul Smith, 59, of San Antonio was disbarred by the 166th District Court of Bexar County.   

SUSPENSIONS

 

On March 18, Wayne Henry Cobb, Jr., 52, of Wylie received a two-year, partially-probated suspension effective April 15, 2004, with the first year actively served and the remainder probated from the District 6-A Grievance Committee. 

 

On Aug. 16, Kwesi Addo Dodi, 41, of Austin received a one-year, fully-probated suspension effective Sept. 1, 2004 from the 201st District Court of Travis County.
