JUDICIAL ACTIONS

On June 27, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public admonition to Alberto Martinez, municipal court judge, San Diego, Duval County.

 

On June 27, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public warning to Jose Canales, justice of the peace, Precinct 4, Freer, Duval County.

 

On June 27, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public reprimand to Steven B. Duke, justice of the peace, Precinct 4, Place 1, Atlanta, Cass County.

 

On July 7, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public warning to Paul Womack, 56, judge Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Austin, Travis County.

 

On June 27, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public warning and order of additional education to Oscar Tullos, justice of the peace, Precinct 2, Brownsville, Cameron County. 

 

On May 7, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public reprimand to Kathryne Gabbert, justice of the peace, Precinct 2, Burleson, Johnson County.

 

On April 23, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct accepted voluntary agreements to resign from judicial office in lieu of disciplinary actions from Les Alley, municipal court judge, Itasca, Hill County; Billy D. Burks, municipal court judge, Archer City, Archer County; Tommy L. Henry, justice of the peace, Precinct 2, and municipal court judge, Anahuac, Chambers County; Michael L. Skinner, municipal court judge, Grand Prairie, Dallas County; Sidonia Mayer, justice of the peace, Precinct 2, Moulton, Lavaca County; and Rebecca T. Sanchez, municipal court judge, Raymondville, Willacy County.

 

RESIGNATION

On June 10, the Supreme Court of Texas accepted the resignation, in lieu of discipline, of Jeffery Dane Wagnon, 39, of Pawhuska, Okla.

 

SUSPENSIONS

On May 13, Abel Cavada, 54, of Corpus Christi received a 30-month, fully-probated suspension effective July 1, 2003 from the District 12-C Grievance Committee.

 

On June 16, Gregory Ballard Johnson, 38, of Waco accepted a four-year, partially-probated suspension effective July 1, 2003, with the first two years actively served and the remainder probated from the District 8-B Grievance Committee.

 

On June 4, James Lee McManus, 62, of Austin received a one-year, fully-probated suspension effective July 1, 2003 from the District 8-C Grievance Committee.

 

On June 9, Alex Nduka Udorah, 39, of Houston received a six-month, fully-probated suspension effective Aug. 1, 2003 from the District 8-A Grievance Committee.

 

On May 2, Robert D. White, 55, of Arlington received a two-year, partially-probated suspension effective May 15, 2003, with the first three months actively served and the remainder probated from the District 6-A Grievance Committee.

 

PUBLIC REPRIMANDS

On Feb. 13, Ruth Anaicka Ortiz, 38, of Katy accepted a public reprimand from the District 10-B Grievance Committee.

 

On May 7, William E. May, Jr., 53, of Corpus Christi accepted a public reprimand from the District 11-A Grievance Committee.

 

On May 22, Michael L. Neely, 44, of Austin accepted a public reprimand from the District 9-A Grievance Committee.

 

On April 25, Richard Douglas Parker, 45, of Houston accepted a public reprimand from the District 8-A Grievance Committee.

 

On April 20, Donya Cannon Witherspoon, 45, of Richardson accepted a public reprimand from the District 6-A Grievance Committee.

 

On April 15, Edgar Oran Coble, 52, of Fort Worth accepted a public reprimand from the District 14-B Grievance Committee.

 

On May 4, Ronald Galloway, 60, of Houston accepted a public reprimand from the District 5-B Grievance Committee.

 

On June 19, Travis R. Phillips, 55, of Austin accepted a public reprimand from the District 9-A Grievance Committee.

 

On May 30, Gary Martin Vodicka, 44, of Dallas accepted a public reprimand from the District 6-A Grievance Committee.

 

On May 22, Charles L. Thorn, 50, of Hurst, accepted a public reprimand from the District 7-A Grievance Committee.
