Reconstructing Contracts is a study of conflicting theories of contract law.  The author reviews Oliver Wendell Holmes’ case for the existence of a coherent system of contract law, and defends Holmes’ system against more recent theories that contracts should be interpreted as civil obligations.  This book could be of interest to readers looking for either a discussion of current legal theory or for a review of classic contract principles.
