Maggiolino. Intellectual property and antitrust : a comparative economic
analysis of US and EU law. Edward Elgar, c2011. This book compares how the US and EU antitrust authorities
have enforced Section 2 of the Sherman Act, and Article 102 of the TFEU
against monopolists' practices involving intellectual property rights.
The discussion comes in the wake of the great interest engendered by the
interface between antitrust law and intellectual property rights, considering
that the ongoing integration of markets pushes countries towards a
harmonization of their legal systems. The author takes this inquiry forward
by confronting the two jurisdictions' legal standards with current economic
thinking, and discusses the policy suggestions that result. |

Buyse. Intersentia, 2011. This book focuses on the margins of conflict: human rights aspects of transitions from peace to armed conflict and vice versa. The authors seek to explore what limits human rights put on European societies which are on the brink of armed conflict and survey the consequences of human rights violations committed during the armed conflict by looking at the aftermath of war. It covers topics such as the territorial scope of the Convention, states of emergency, freedom of expression and conflict escalation, obligations relating to enforced disappearances, interim measures, and pilot judgments. |
