Richard
M. Alderman. Texas consumer law : cases and materials. 13th ed. Grail
& Tucker, c2010. KFT1430.A938 This
casebook, written by Associate Dean Richard Alderman, is designed to provide
an understanding of Texas consumer law, with an emphasis on the Texas
Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DPTA). It presents the material in a
combination of traditional case analysis and problem solving. Because
most Texas consumer law is statutory in nature, the book also includes a
substantial statutory appendix containing the text of the DPTA and related
state and federal statutes. |

Douglas
A. Kysar. Regulating from nowhere : environmental law and the search for
objectivity. Yale University Press, c2010. K3585.K97
2010 This
book discusses the dominant environmental law and policy paradigm of risk
assessment and cost-benefit analysis and argues that it fails to adequately
motivate ethical engagement with the most pressing and challenging aspects of
environmental law and policy, which concern how we relate to future
generations, foreign nations, and other forms of life. The author
offers a reconceptualization of the precautionary principle and advocates for
movement toward environmental constitutionalism. |
