The
Foreign Law Guide database is the electronic version of the esteemed
print publication Foreign Law: Current Sources of Codes and Basic
Legislation in Jurisdictions of the World by Thomas H. Reynolds
and Arturo A. Flores. This database provides guidance on where
to find the laws of foreign countries. It explains the basic legal
structure and available legal information resources for each country.
Foreign language and English language resources are listed.
The
database summarizes the laws on specific topics for each country,
and directs the patron where to locate the laws. The database
identifies the jurisdictions’ laws for over 100 subjects, including:

The
publisher of the print edition of the Foreign Law Guide no longer
provides updates, which means that the electronic format is now
the only method to obtain the most current information.
The
electronic database allows patrons search the database through
a keyword search.

database also includes finding tools for international conventions
and treaties.
