The Center, Texas Appleseed, and the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health provide handbooks to help juveniles and families navigate the juvenile justice system and provide guidance to attorneys representing juveniles client.
Annual Juvenile Defender Conference
The Center conducts a yearly regional summit, Zealous Advocacy= Best Interest. This training focuses on tools and strategies for defense attorneys representing youth in the juvenile system. The two day conference brings together juvenile defenders from around the region for networking, planning and information sharing. Conference sessions focus on a wide range of practice and policy issues. CLE credit is available for this training.
