recognized scholars to the UH Law Center to lecture on

CLARISA LONG IS THE MAX MENDEL
SHAYE PROFESSOR OF INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY LAW AT COLUMBIA LAW
SCHOOL. A graduate of Stanford
Law School, she has clerked
for Judge Alvin A. Schall of
the U.S. Court of Appeals for
the Federal Circuit, served as a fellow and lecturer at
Harvard Law School, and taught at the University of
Virginia School of Law.
At Columbia, Professor Long teaches patent law,
copyright law, trademark and unfair competition law,
intellectual property theory, empirical studies of intellectual
property, and property. Her research interests
include theoretical and empirical study of all areas of
intellectual property law. She has published widely in
such venues as Chicago Law Review, Virginia Law
Review, and Columbia Law Review.
