The
Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships $20,000 - A New
American is an individual who (1) is a resident alien,
i.e., holds a Green Card; or, (2) has been naturalized
as a US citizen, or (3) is the child of two parents who
are both naturalized citizens. The Program is open to
individuals who retain loyalty and a sense of commitment
to their country of origin as well as to the United States,
but is intended to support individuals who will continue
to regard the United States as their principal residence
and focus of national identity. Application deadline
is November 1, 2008

Turner Legal Association Foundation - a minority
2L or 3L law student from the DFW Metroplex. Application
will be available after the first of August.
Need Based Scholarship - selecting financial-need
scholarship winners, we will consider an applicant’s
need, disadvantaged circumstances, community involvement,
and other factors, in addition to merely academic standing.
Barbara Jordan Scholarship - awarded to an outstanding
female applicant.
Fred Finch Scholarship - awarded to an outstanding
male applicant.
Judge’s Scholarship - which may be awarded
to either a male or female applicant who has excelled
academically.
Association
of Women Attorneys Foundation Scholarship $2000 -
Awarded to a 2L or 3L female student in Houston who has
demonstrated a commitment to excellence and an aptitude
for leadership and philanthropy. Application postmark
deadline is September 29, 2008.
