Alexander "Sasha" VolokhDr. William C.G. Burns
Visiting Assistant Professor

Dr. William C.G. Burns earned his Ph.D. in International Environmental Law from the University of Wales – Cardiff School of Law, Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom, in 2005. He expects to receive his LLB from the University of London School of Law, London, England, in 2010. He is currently a senior fellow at the Center for Global Law & Policy, Santa Clara University School of Law, Santa Clara, CA. He previously taught at Golden Gate University, San Francisco; the Monterey Institute of International Studies, Monterey, CA; Stanford University, Department of Earth Systems, Pala Alto, CA; Whittier Law School, Costa Mesa, CA; Colby College, Waterville, ME; and Tulane University Law School, New Orleans.  During the Spring 2009 semester, Dr. Burns is teaching a provocative course at the Law Center: “International Institutional Responses to Climate Change in a Post-Kyoto World.”
