Professor Hill earned her undergraduate degree in economics from Southern Utah University. She attended law school at Brigham Young University where she was managing editor of the law review. After law school, Professor Hill clerked for Judge Wade Brorby, a member of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Prior to joining the University of Houston's faculty, Professor Hill was an associate at the Washington, D.C. office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. As a member of the litigation group, she represented financial institutions and other companies involved in government investigations. Before practicing law, Professor Hill worked at two different commercial banks.
