Susan Kessler Rachlin

Susan Rachlin earned a B.A. in Psychology from Rice University in 1974 and an M.P.H. from the University of Texas in 1976. After working in the mental health field, she obtained her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center in 1981. While at the Law Center, she won the award for Best Brief in the John Black Moot Court Competition, and she was an associate editor of the Houston Law Review. After graduating, she was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1981 and practiced in the Health Law section of Fulbright & Jaworski. She has served on the boards of community organizations, such as The Hospice at the Texas Medical Center (now Houston Hospice) and the Institutional Review Board at Rice University. She joined the Law Center faculty in 2000.
