ANNOUNCEMENT 3/21/2013
Today's PR class is cancelled due to a ridiculous case of laryngitis. Yesterday, I was hoping that I would have enough voice to whisper into a microphone today, but alas that is not to be. I am so bummed.
Please use today's class time to work the posted problem set dated Th 3/21. There are several multiple choice questions, most of which are previous MPRE questions. There is also a practice essay questions at the end of the document. Before answering the multiple choice questions, be sure to read Model Rule 4.3 and its comments (Dealing with Unrepresented Person). With the exception of Rule 4.3, we have covered every rule with which you need to be familiar in order to answer the multiple choice questions correctly. I will provide the correct answers to the multiple choice questions next week.
Next Tuesday, March 26th (our next scheduled class meeting), we will enjoy a guest lecture presented by Luis Suarez. His story is an important one. Make every effort to be on time (meaning early), as it is important to me that we treat our guest lecturers with respect.
For the rest of the semester, I plan for our schedule to be:
T 3/25 — guest lecturer Luis Suarez (no reading assignment)
Th 3/25 — Breaking Up (pp. 3-16) and all of Assignment 16 (reread this assignment before class)
T 4/2 — modified assignment 17: pp. 640-66 (we will NOT cover and you will not be responsible for pp. 567-75)
Th 4/4 — assignment 18
T 4/9 — assignment 19
Th 4/11 — guest panel (no reading assignment)
F 4/12 (makeup class) -- assignment 20
T 4/16 — assignment 21
Th 4/18 — assignment 22
T 4/23 — assignment 23
Th 4/24 — assignment 24 or course review (to be determined later)
Please keep Friday, April 19th from 2:30 to 3:45 open for a possible makeup class.
ANNOUNCEMENT 3/20/2013
Three Good Things option -- This is an update to an announcement I made yesterday in class regarding the Three Good Things option for the wellness assignment: You will be permitted to turn in your Three Good Things log as long as you have not skipped more than 14 days (rather than the 7 days that I mentioned yesterday). To be clear, you must still have a total of 42 days logged, but as long as you complete your log within a time span of 8 weeks, the assignment will be accepted.
Lincoln Lawyer option — You may watch and discuss the Lincoln Lawyer with your classmates. However, no joint memos will be accepted. Everyone must turn in their own individual memo.
